Reset For Mums

I wrote Reset for Mums for mothers who feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or quietly running on empty.

This book is here to help you understand why you feel this way and how to reset gently, in a way that fits real life.

                     About The Author

I’m Fernanda, and at the heart of everything I do, I am a mum to two amazing girls. Athena is 12 and Valentina is 11. They are strong, curious, loving, and endlessly inspiring. They are also the reason I understand just how deeply motherhood can shape you, stretch you, and sometimes quietly drain you in ways you don’t notice until you’re already running on empty.

Becoming a mother changed my life completely. Not in the dramatic, overnight way people often talk about, but slowly, over years of responsibility, emotional labour, and constant care. I learned how easy it is to put yourself last without realising you’ve done it. How days blur into routines, and routines turn into survival mode. How you can love your children deeply and still feel exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who you are outside of what everyone needs from you.

There were seasons where I felt physically tired, but more than that, I felt mentally overloaded and emotionally stretched. I was holding a lot, thinking a lot, planning a lot, and rarely stopping. Rest felt like something to earn rather than something I was allowed. I didn’t feel broken, but I did feel worn down. And I know now that what I was experiencing wasn’t weakness. It was burnout.

Reset for Mums came from that lived experience. This book is not about fixing yourself or becoming a better version of who you already are. It’s about understanding why you feel the way you do and giving yourself permission to slow down without guilt. I wrote it because I couldn’t find the kind of book I needed at the time. Something honest, calm, and realistic. Something that didn’t demand more effort from an already exhausted mind.

Everything in these pages is shaped by real life, not ideals. By the quiet moments after the kids are asleep. By the mental load that never seems to switch off. By the internal conflict between loving your life and feeling overwhelmed by it. This book is meant to meet you where you are, whether you’re at the very beginning of burnout or already deep in it.

Although the title says Reset for Mums, the message reaches far beyond motherhood. Burnout doesn’t belong to one role. Anyone who is carrying too much for too long can benefit from a reset. If you feel emotionally drained, mentally cluttered, or disconnected from yourself, this book is for you. You don’t need to fit a label to deserve rest and clarity.

Reset for Mums is an invitation to pause. To take stock without judgement. To come back to yourself gently, in small, steady ways that actually fit into real life. My hope is that as you read, you feel understood. That you feel less alone in how you’re feeling. And that you’re reminded you don’t need to push harder to move forward. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop, breathe, and begin again.
